1996 was a terrible year for me financially, but I took amazing strength from the fact that my father flew in from Pakistan to be there with me. Despite the very tough time I faced, the 2 months he spent with me flew by. It was the best time I got to spend with my father, two months of hanging out. We traveled a lot, including this trip to Niagra Falls and through upstate New York to see fall foliage. I lost him forever on December 21, 2008. His smile and his strength will always be within me and by my side.
